I missed a few days of the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale, but they had an extra 50% off day last week where I was able to snag a couple of items from the days I missed. Since I moved, I lost or threw away a few things, so I was waiting on this sale to stock up on items I’ve been needing and a few that have been on my wish list. IGK Color Depositing Gloss Mask

I haven’t dyed my hair any unique colors before, so this seemed like a low-stakes way to try out a different color! The ingredients in this mask are really great (more on that in the mini review), and I’m excited to try something new with my hair. I got Cyber Tokyo, which is a rich shade of purple. I’ll definitely be documenting my experience with this!

Moon Juice Magnesi-Om Sleep Supplement with Melatonin

I LOVE a good sleepy girl mocktail. I like to use them on post-call days to help me get to sleep. I’m one of those people who doesn’t take naps, and once I’m up for the day, I’m up. So even if I get a few hours of sleep during a call shift, I’m usually wired for the rest of the day.

Because of that, the sleepy girl mocktail has become a staple in my routine to help me get back onto a normal sleep schedule. Usually, I’ll just mix some tart cherry juice with a Poppi or Olipop and have a melatonin gummy on the side, but I’m excited to add this magnesium supplement into the mix and see how I like it. I couldn’t justify buying this one at full price, so I’m happy I was able to get it on sale!

Design Essentials Honey Creme Moisture Retention Shampoo

I’ve seen so many of my fellow natural hair girlies singing the praises of this shampoo, saying that it leaves their hair feeling intensely hydrated and moisturized. Some even say they’re able to detangle their hair with it.

Since I’m getting serious about length retention, keeping my hair moisturized is ESSENTIAL, and that starts in the shower with shampoo and conditioner. It’s not terribly expensive at baseline, but I hate paying full price for anything LOL. I’m really hoping this shampoo is worth the hype!

Benefit BADgal BANG! Volumizing Mascara

I’ve been blessed with long eyelashes, but they stick together so much that it causes a lot of irritation on the daily. I’ve been trying different mascaras to see how well they keep my lashes separated. Key tip: most mascara formulas are pretty similar; the real differentiator is the brush.

I’ve also never used a brown mascara before, so this will be a first for me.

Design Essentials Almond & Avocado Moisturizing and Detangling Shampoo

I see so many people talking about the Honey Creme shampoo, but not nearly as many talking about this one. It also wasn’t terribly expensive, but again, I’m cheap and on a resident salary, so anytime I don’t have to pay full price, you know I’m taking advantage!

This one stuck out to me because it has all the claims everyone mentions about the Honey Creme shampoo right on the label. I have NEVER been able to detangle my hair with a shampoo, so I am very intrigued to try this one and see how it performs.
